We then came home to do a workshop a week with 1st graders, 5th graders and highschool students at Woodstock Day School in April on Philippine and Cuban percussion, Songs and Mixed Media. They were all terrific, such a great community to be a part of.

It has been a great summer for Mundo Niños. We kicked it off in May at the Druga Godba Festival in Ljubljana Slovenia, co-sponsored by the US Embassy. Mundo Niños collaborated with guest Slovenian folk artists, vocalist Brina and guitarist Luka to teach a workshop for 30 children 3-5 yrs, and 6-9yrs old and lead a concert for them.

In New York City, Mundo Niños has been performing for Citiparks Summerstage Kids concerts in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn joining Mundo Niños are guest artists include Cuban conga player Igor Arias and Cuban dancer Stevie Insua. It is our second year to perform in the concert series and so much fun to play and interact with NYC children from all different backgrounds.

We also had a blast performing workshops for the Central Queens Y in Forest Hills Queens NY and Woodstock Day School in Woodstock NY.  Mundo Niños led workshops for 4,5, and 8 year olds with a culminating performance for the communities.
