Nicholas Hallett (David, Tenor), is pleased to be making his pro opera debut in Shangri-La. He is a songwriter, journalist, member of pop music project Plantains (who, in addition to playing NYC rock venues alongside bands like Le Tigre and Scissor Sisters, have been recognized by the Village Voice, New York Underground Film Festival and Yale Center for British Art for their unique video-enhanced performances), sometimes filmmaker and curator/emcee of the Maison Du Chic multimedia cabaret series formerly held at legendary downtown venue, Fez.
